Italian car specialists Tanc Barratt has purchased additional commercial premises in Ludlow as part of its expansion.
The independent family business has secured premises at Weeping Cross Lane, Temeside next to its existing home in the south Shropshire town.
Marketed by Towler Shaw Roberts, the property, a detached warehouse /trade counter unit which extends to 4,824 sq ft, attracted best and final offers ahead of a sale being completed.
The premises also benefit from an extensive yard on a site area of 0.35 acres (0.14 hectares).
Tanc Barratt, the company’s owner, said: “It’s an additional property to help us with our expansion. It is next to where we are already, so it means we can expand from our existing building into this one as well.”
He added the expansion would create new job opportunities.
Toby Shaw, who handled the sale for TSR, added: “The spacious property is well located close to Ludlow town centre and generated a high level of interest with best and final offers eventually invited.
“We are pleased to have completed a sale to Tanc Barratt as part of an exciting expansion and we wish the company continued success.”
Occupying a prominent corner position within a popular commercial area, the premises include large open plan warehouse accommodation, with roller shutter loading doors to the front and side, as well as ancillary offices, kitchenette and a store room.
Mr Barratt has been buying, restoring, servicing and supplying components for Lancia and other Italian cars for more than 30 years.
What started as a hobby in his garage has grown into a performance centre for specialist Italian cars which is known across the world.
