A family run flooring company is to open a new showroom in Shrewsbury as part of its expansion.

PRJ Flooring Services has completed the letting of Unit A, 38 Vanguard Way at the popular Vanguard Trade Park.

It will be the company’s second showroom following the success of the one they already have in the Warwickshire town of Shipston-on-Stour.

Paul Johnson, director of PRJ Flooring Services, said the Shrewsbury showroom will open on September 24.

He’s pleased to have secured the high-quality Vanguard Way unit, which occupies a prominent roadside location, with the letting handled by Towler Shaw Roberts.

Mr Johnson said: “We’re a new business for the area, but we know Shropshire well as we covered it on a sub-contract basis for Alan Ward for 15 years.

“That’s why we chose Shrewsbury when we were looking to expand and deciding where to go.

“We have always liked working around Shrewsbury and Shropshire as it’s a lovely place, so it’s nice to be here again and it’s exciting.

“We have employed local people to run and administer the showroom, sales and quotations.”

Looking forward to opening at Vanguard Trade Park later this month, he added: “There are so many other trade specific businesses in this part of Shrewsbury, such as kitchen showrooms and decorator centres.

“If someone is doing work on their home they are coming here, so it is the right location for us.”

The Vanguard Way unit, modern end of terrace trade counter/warehouse premises, extend in total to approximately 2,141 sq ft.

It also benefits from forecourt car parking, with a yard/delivery area to the rear of the property.
