Wolverhampton’s ECC Sports and Social Club has been acquired by an undisclosed community group, with the sale handled by Towler Shaw Roberts.
The prominent club located in Showell Road, less than a mile from the city centre, includes a detached clubhouse, which has been extended over the years.
Providing a net internal floor area of 5,495 sq ft, the site benefits from generous land surrounding the property, including a substantial car park, with the total site area 1.15 acres (0.467 hectares).
Martin Zaki, who handled the sale for TSR, said: “ECC Sports & Social Club is a prominent and well known property in Wolverhampton and it stimulated much interest.
“It’s well located about a mile north of Wolverhampton city centre on the corner of Showell Road and Shaw Road, with the A449 Stafford Road nearby.
“We are pleased to have now completed a sale to a community group.”
The property features an extensive bar area, a two-table snooker room, a bar and larger function room, as well as customer and staff toilets, and offices.
The site is dominated by a bowling green to the front of the clubhouse and a large car park.
Externally, there is also a number of storage sheds, covered storage areas and an outdoor bar area.
