A new cafe has opened in an attractive Grade II Listed building in Mardol in the heart of Shrewsbury town centre.

Cafe M73 has quickly proved a popular addition to Mardol, with customers enjoying coffees, delicious homemade cakes and tasty light bites, including Moroccan specialities.

It represents an exciting new venture for Sanaa Msatfa, the owner of Cafe M73, who has been delighted with the response from customers since launching the cafe earlier this month.

Sanaa said: “I’ve wanted to open my own cafe for six years. It took a long time to find the right place and we looked at many places before finding this one, which is the right size, just what I wanted.

“Some of my family also run cafes and patisseries in Europe and in Morocco.

“We have had a good response since opening with very nice comments from people saying our coffee is the best they have tasted.

“Everything we serve is fresh and homemade, including our Moroccan specialities.”

The front room on the first floor of the property is to be converted into a function room and a place where groups can meet.

Occupying a prominent location in a substantial four-storey building at 73 Mardol, the property, arranged over four floors, provides versatile accommodation and extends in total to 1,485 sq ft.
