Advising Compton Hospice, Ian Roberts comments that ‘’this was a complicated deal with a Head Lease needing to be restructured, an extensive refit of the premises with licence for alterations, and a Schedule of Condition applying on the Hospice’s repairing obligations. Alienation provisions were also provided for, to allow the sub-letting of the first floor flat.’’
Successfully bringing all of these factors together, this represents the 29th shop opening for Compton Hospice which continues to attract enormous support from the local community.
Compton Hospice was represented by Stuart Hodson of Underhill, Langley & Wright (Solicitors), with Top Draw dealing with the extensive shop fit. In addition to negotiating the Lease terms, Chris Hedley of TSR’s Building Surveying Team dealt with the Schedule of Condition, and Helen Bourne of the firm’s Asset Management Department is dealing with the management of the flat.
